Symptoms
You are not certain what your current eRaider password is.
Cause
You may have forgotten the last password that you set.
Resolution
No one at Texas Tech University or from anywhere else should ask for your password.
If you already know your current password, it's better to use the Change Password option instead.
- If you do not know your current password, browse to https://eraider.ttu.edu and click the Forgot Password button.
- Type your eRaider username and date of birth. Then, click Continue.
TIP: Your eRaider username is not your email address.
NOTE: Ensure that you use 2 digits for the month, 2 for the day, and 4 for the year. Put the month first, then the day, and the year last. Separate each of them with a forward slash (/). - If your TechID or your Social Security number (SSN) are on file in the eRaider system, you will be prompted to enter one of them. Type either your TechID or SSN. Then, click Continue.
- To verify your identity, the eRaider system will send a verification code to the contact phone number that you specified in your eRaider account. Choose Text Message to have a verification code sent in an SMS text message or Voice Call to receive the verification code in an automated voice call. Then, click Continue when you are ready for the code to be sent.
- If you chose "Text Message" in the previous step, look for a new incoming text message with the following wording:
Use this code to change your password: CODE
If you chose "Voice Call" in the previous step, you will receive a phone call with the following wording:
Use this code to change your password: CODE - In the field labeled "Enter Code", type the code that you received. Then, click Verify.
- Review the "Requirements" section below the two password fields. Then, type your desired password into both fields. When you are ready to proceed, click Set Password.
IMPORTANT: You will not be presented with the password again, so you must remember the password you entered.
Outcome
A screen appears confirming that the password has been changed. It may take up to 15 minutes before your new password works on all services. If your password had expired, it may take up to two hours to reestablish full access to Microsoft services.
