Error: "fs.ttu.edu took too long to respond" when attempting to log into eRaider authenticated service


Symptoms

You receive the error message below when signing in to an eRaider-authenticated website:

fs.ttu.edu took too long to respond

Cause

Unknown cause. However, it is believed certain anti-virus software may be inserting lines into the hosts file causing a misdirect.

Resolution

1) Open your local hosts file.

2) Find and remove any line containing "fs.ttu.edu". Do not delete any other lines.

3) Save your file and close out of Notepad.

Outcome

You are able to sign in using your eRaider username and password.
