When opening a Microsoft 365 file, such as a Word document, you receive an error message similar to the following:

View Only Your account alias@ttu.edu doesn't allow editing on a Mac. To learn more, contact your admin about your Microsoft 365 plan.

IMPORTANT: Do not click "Use Another Account" on the error message.

Follow all of the directions on Microsoft's website at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/troubleshoot/activation/doesnt-allow-editing-on-mac except for the section titled "Make sure user licenses are assigned".
