Error: "Hmm, your browser is not compatible" when accessing Cognos in Internet Explorer


Symptoms

When attempting to access Cognos from with Internet Explorer (IE), you are presented with the following error message:

Hmm, your browser is not compatible.

Your browser is not supported by IBM Cognos Analytics. Please try using a different browser.

Cause

IE is not a supported browser for Cognos.

Resolution

Please use a supported browser for accessing Cognos.

OUTCOME

You will no longer encounter the error message above.
