Error: "Commonly used passwords are not allowed" when choosing a new eRaider password


Symptoms

You receive the following message when attempting to set a new eRaider password:

Commonly used passwords are not allowed

Cause

The password you chose is on a list of known compromised passwords.

Resolution

No one at Texas Tech University or from anywhere else should ask for your password.

Try typing a password that would not have been used by someone else or be easily guessed by either a computer program or any person.


OUTCOME

You are able to change your eRaider password.
