Error: "Access is denied" when attempting to change your eRaider password through Windows


Symptoms

You receive the following message when attempting to change your eRaider (ttu.edu domain) password through Windows:

Access is denied.

Cause

You cannot change your eRaider password by updating it directly on the TTU domain through Windows. eRaider passwords must be changed in the eRaider system, and the password will update on the ttu.edu domain automatically.

Resolution

1) Change your eRaider password by using eRaider Account Manager.

2) Wait at least five minutes for the password to synchronize from the eRaider system to the ttu.edu domain.


OUTCOME

You are able to sign in to your computer using the new password.

Workaround

If you are unable to access eRaider Account Manager due to having no computer access since your password expired, there are some workarounds available.
