After changing your eRaider password, if you do not sign out of your computer or reboot, you are still signed in with your previous eRaider password. Windows will recognize this fact and prompt you to lock the computer so that you can enter the new password.

No one at Texas Tech University or from anywhere else should ask for your password.

1) Connect to the TTUnet wired network. If you are unable to do so, you may establish a TTUnet VPN connection.

2) Press Ctrl+Alt+Del on your keyboard, and choose Lock.

3) Press Ctrl+Alt+Del again and unlock your PC using the new password.

Once this is done, you will not have to sign out or restart the computer. Windows will use your new credentials when accessing network resources.
