Error: "Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network" in OneDrive on iPhone or iPad


Symptoms

You receive the following error message when attempting to view files in OneDrive for Business on your iPhone or iPad:

The File Can't Be Displayed

Make sure you're connected to a Wi-Fi or cellular network.

Cause

Your device may not have an active Internet connection or cellular data may be disabled for the OneDrive app.

Also, there may be a problem with the OneDrive app.

Resolution

1) Make sure that Wi-Fi is enabled on your device and you have an active connection to a Wi-Fi network, or make sure that you have an active cellular data connection.

2) Try to use the OneDrive app again.

If you continue to receive the error after ensuring that you have an Internet connection, open the Settings app.

3) Scroll down to your list of apps and tap OneDrive.

4) If you're using Wi-Fi, skip to StepĀ 5.

If you're using a cellular data connection, locate the "Cellular Data" option. Ensure that the switch is in the "on" position (slid to the right).

Try to use the OneDrive app again.

5) If you are still receiving the error, next to "Clear Account Settings", slide the switch to the "on" position (to the right).

CAUTION: This will sign you out of all Microsoft apps on your device, causing you to have to sign in again.

6) Force quit the OneDrive app:

7) Open the OneDrive app.

8) Sign in and set up OneDrive again to access your TTU account.


OUTCOME

You will be able to see your files in OneDrive for Business.
