Error: "An Error has been detected" when navigating to TechAnnounce


When navigating to the TechAnnounce website, you receive the following error message:

An Error has been detected. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The Application Administrator has been notified and will rectify the problem.

Please could you tell us what you were doing before this error occurred?

It could possibly be a timed out authentication in a browsing session or a browser problem.


1) Please exit out of the browsing session entirely. This includes all browser windows related to the web application, as well as the Internet browsing application itself. Then, re-open your browser and try to navigate to the TechAnnounce website again.

2) If the problem is still occurring, try an incognito/private window. If the problem does not re-occur in the incognito/private window, please try typical browser troubleshooting to resolve the problem with your browser.

3) If the problem is still occurring, contact IT Help Central. IT Help Central will assign a request or incident in your name to TechAnnounce administrators to research further.


You can successfully browse to the TechAnnounce webapp once the problem is resolved.
