Cause

This could be because you typed the path incorrectly.

If you are attempting to connect to MyWeb, it may have been less than 10 minutes since you activated the MyWeb service, or your MyWeb service was deactivated because you did not respond to the renewal notice.

Resolution

Check to make sure the path you typed is correct. If necessary, erase all of the characters and re-type the path.

MyWeb only:

  • Ensure that at least 10 minutes have passed since activating the MyWeb service to allow the service to initialize for your account.
  • Look in your TechMail account for an email from Renewals <renewals@ttu.edu> with a subject of "Renewal Notification for MyWeb Site" to see if you received a notice about your site expiring. The email body will contain the site expiration date. If you received a notice and the expiration date has not passed, click the link/button to renew. If the date has passed, your site was deleted and you will need to activate the service again.

Outcome

You will be able to connect to the server successfully.
