Unable to access a device on TTUnet/TTUguest wireless from the wired network or Internet

Cause

Devices on TTUnet Wi-Fi and TTUguest Wi-Fi get 10.x.x.x IP addresses. When using 10.x.x.x IP addresses, wireless clients cannot host services and be accessed remotely from the wired network or from certain portions of the Wi-Fi network. In other words, wireless clients can access services on other clients/servers but cannot host services themselves (i.e., laptop on Wi-Fi can't share files with a desktop on the wired network).

Resolution

There is no known resolution at this time. The services are functioning as intended.

Workaround

It might be possible in some cases to connect to one wireless device from another wireless device (when services are purposely hosted, of course). However, this is not supported or guaranteed to function.
