Symptoms
When using the Windows Mail app to access your TechMail account, you receive the following message:
This device doesn't meet the security requirements set by your email administrator.
You are unable to access your TechMail account using the Windows Mail application and see the error message listed above. You may also receive notifications stating, "Your work or school requires this to device to be encrypted."
Cause
Devices and applications that access TechMail via the ActiveSync configuration need to have encryption enabled. This error message appears when encryption is not enabled on the device.
Resolution
There is no known resolution at this time.
Workaround
Instead of using the Windows Mail app, consider installing Microsoft Outlook or accessing your email through Outlook on the web.
