Error: "Sorry, we didn't recognize your sign-in details" when signing in to Skype


You receive the following message when attempting to sign in to Skype:

Sorry, we didn't recognize your sign-in details. Please check your Skype Name and password, then try again.

The username you typed was not found in the Skype system, or the password for the account was not correct.

Make sure your Skype Name and password are correct. You may wish to try typing them again. If you do not known your Skype account credentials, please contact Microsoft for assistance.

If you are attempting to sign in to TTU Unified Communications, you must use the Skype for Business software rather than the consumer version of Skype.


You will be able to sign in to Skype when using the correct username and password.
