Symptoms
Unable to connect from the outside Internet to an FTP server hosted on TTUnet which allows anonymous access
Cause
For security reasons, effective September 10, 2009, the TTUnet firewall is configured to block incoming network traffic for anonymous FTP.
Resolution
Access the needed resources using a secure method of connection. Contact the service provider who hosts the FTP server if necessary and ask them if they support FTPS, SFTP, or other secure methods of connection.
OUTCOME
You will be able to access the necessary resources by using a secure connection method.
