Unable to connect to third-party VPN connection from the TTU network


While connected to a TTUnet wired or wireless connection, you are unable to establish a VPN connection to a third-party VPN service.


The TTU firewall is configured to block outgoing VPN connections from the TTU network. This includes the residence halls and the general academic campus network.


Contact the IT administrators of the resource which you are trying to access. Inquire what must be done to allow access to that resource without a VPN connection.

If you need to connect to the VPN connection in order to conduct Texas Tech business or serve a Texas Tech academic need, please contact IT Help Central. IT Help Central can assign a request in your name to the firewall administrators to request an exception.
