Symptoms
A former faculty or staff member is still listed in the global address list (GAL) in Outlook.
Cause
The person used to be employed by Texas Tech, but their employment has ended.
Resolution
No action is needed. Automated processes will remove the individual from the GAL.
When a person's affiliation with Texas Tech ends, their eRaider account gets automatically disabled. After a period of time, the account and its associated GAL entry will automatically be deleted from the system. Once the account has been deleted, the person's information will no longer appear in the GAL. The time period differs depending on the person's affiliation.
OUTCOME
Once the account has been deleted, the person's information will no longer appear in the GAL.
