Student is unable to sign in to Red Raider Orientation website


Symptoms

When trying to sign in to the Red Raider Orientation (RRO) website, the student is taken back to the start page.

Cause

Possible causes:

  • The student may be using an unsupported web browser.
  • The browser's settings may need adjusted.
  • The student portion of the RRO website uses eRaider for authentication. There may be a problem with the student's eRaider account.
  • There could also be a network error or routing problem.

Resolution

1) Make sure that the latest version of one of the following web browsers is being used and that it's updated to the latest version:

Android

  • Chrome
  • Edge

iOS or iPadOS

  • Chrome
  • Edge
  • Safari

macOS

  • Chrome
  • Edge
  • Safari

Windows

  • Chrome
  • Edge

2) Once the student is using a recommended browser, if they still cannot sign in to RRO, try making sure they can sign in to eRaider Account Manager at https://eraider.ttu.edu. This will let you know if the eRaider account is working or if they are able to sign in to any eRaider-authenticated sites.

3) If it still doesn't work, try resetting the browser settings to default levels and clearing the cookies, history, and cache.

4) If still unable to connect, try connecting to TTUnet VPN.

5) Contact IT Help Central if it doesn't work after trying the steps above. IT Help Central will provide assistance with ensuring that the items above have been checked, as well as checking the student's account for any noticeable problems. IT Help Central may then close the request and refer the student to Transition & Engagement at 806-742-2993 or redraiderorientation@ttu.edu, as Transition & Engagement is the service owner for RRO.


OUTCOME

The student is able to sign in to the RRO website.
