Cause

This error may be caused by the free trial version of the anti-virus software Norton Security that is pre-installed on some OEM versions of Windows 10 that come with new computers.

Resolution

1) Uninstall Norton Security by using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool provided by Symantec.

2) Restart your computer.

3) Clean out any remaining files or registry keys by using Symantec's CleanWipe utility, located at the bottom of the article under "Download Files."

NOTE: Despite the page saying that CleanWipe is only for Symantec Endpoint Protection, and not for Norton products, CleanWipe will resolve the problem.

4) Restart your computer again.

5) Connect to TTUnet Wi-Fi.

6) Make sure that your computer has a valid and updated anti-virus product installed that will not interfere with wireless network connections.

OUTCOME

Your computer will be connected to the TTUnet Wi-Fi network.
