You may receive the following message when attempting to update your contact phone number in eRaider Account Manager.

*Contact Method is Required.

The eRaider system at Texas Tech University maintains contact information for each account, as specified by the account holder. The alternate phone number is used to reset the password using a code sent in either a text message or automated voice call, but it may also used to alert the account holder of changes to their account. A contact method must be chosen in order to update your phone number.

NOTE: In order to maintain an eRaider account, it is necessary to have a contact number capable of receiving either SMS text messages or automated voice calls. There are no alternatives to this policy. For more information, please view our list of ideas for fulfilling the requirement for an eRaider contact phone number.

Choose which method you would prefer for receiving verification codes and alerts about your account. Choose either "Voice Call" or "Text Message."

OUTCOME

The error message will disappear automatically when a Contact Method is selected.
