Symptoms
When trying to upload file to a course in Blackboard Learn, the file does not upload. At the top of the lecture page, you may receive the following message:
Action not complete: Adding the selected content to the specified folder causes the folder to exceed its quota.
Cause
Blackboard Learn has a disk size limitation on courses. The maximum course disk size is 2560 MB. The system should send notifications when the course exceeds 1638 MB.
Resolution
Remove the file(s) that is causing the course to exceed its quota.
OUTCOME
Your total file space will be reduced allowing you to upload additional files.
TIP: If you are getting the error above even after removing files, it is possible that you are not removing the actual files but rather links to the files. While in the course in Blackboard under Edit mode, go to Control Panel > Files > Course Name and remove the files from there.
