Options for changing your eRaider password when you cannot sign in to your computer

Explanation

Occasionally, you may be unable to sign in to your computer with your eRaider account. This may be due to not knowing your current password, the password having been expired, or other reasons. In such situations, the following options may allow you to gain access to your account so that you can use your computer again.

  • Use your cell phone, tablet, or other computing device to go to the eRaider website and change your eRaider password.
  • Unplug the network cable from your computer. Then, sign in to your computer using your eRaider account. Even if the password is expired or the account is locked, this method will let you sign in successfully. This will only work if you have signed in to this computer with that password before. This is because macOS and Windows cache the credentials and will allow you to sign in even if the computer is offline.
  • Go to one of the eRaider self-service kiosks on campus.
  • Get someone else to sign in to your computer using their account. Then, you can open a web browser and change your eRaider password. Firefox is recommended in this case, as by default it doesn't have ADFS enabled. This will prevent it from signing in to the eRaider site as the other person automatically.
  • Ask someone else if you can use their computer. Then, you can open a web browser and change your eRaider password.
