How to: Update the saved password for a Wi-Fi network in Android


Introduction

NOTE: Android is highly customizable and may look different depending on your manufacturer. The steps below may vary for different devices.

Instructions

  1. Open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Network & internet.

  3. Tap Internet.

  4. Tap the network for which you wish to update the password.

  5. In the top right-hand corner, tap the edit button (pencil icon).

  6. Type the new password. Then, tap Save.

    NOTE: This screen may vary depending on whether you are connected to a network using WPA2 or WPA2-Enterprise.

Outcome

Your Android device is connected to the Wi-Fi network using the updated password.
