How to: Set up a functional mailbox in Outlook for Mac


Instructions

1) Open Microsoft Outlook if it is not already open.

2) In your Mac's menu bar, click Outlook and choose Preferences.

3) Click Accounts.

4) In the left-hand pane, click your TechMail account. Then, click the Delegation and Sharing button.

5) Under the Shared with Me tab, click the plus buttonĀ (+).

6) Use the search field at the top to locate the functional mailbox that you wish to open. You may search for it using its name or email address. Once the mailbox appears in the search results, click it once to select it. Then, click Add.

7) The mailbox should be listed under "Open these additional mailboxes". Click Done to complete the process.

OUTCOME

The mailbox and its folders will appear in your folder list in Outlook. You can send and receive email for the mailbox, as well as manage its calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes.
