How to: Reset the home screen icon layout on your iPhone or iPad

In the Settings app, tap General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout > Reset Home Screen.

Instructions

NOTE: These instructions were written for iPhone. The process on iPad should be similar. Simply substitute the word "iPad" for "iPhone" wherever it appears.

Follow the steps below to reset to the default home screen icon layout on the iPhone or iPad.

NOTE: This will not delete any applications that you have installed; it will simply move the icons around.

1) Open the Settings app.

2) Tap General.

3) Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.

4) Tap Reset.

5) Tap Reset Home Screen Layout.

6) Tap Reset Home Screen to confirm that you wish to reset the home screen layout.

OUTCOME

Your home screen icon layout has been reset to the factory default.
