How to: Request eRaider, email, or network access for a guest, vendor, business partner, or research partner

Introduction

NOTE: The two account types listed below will automatically have access to the TTUnet network. For information on requesting access to the TTUguest network for other visitors, please see How to: Request access to the TTUguest wireless network for visitors to TTU.

Instructions

NOTE: Each individual person requiring network or system access must have a separate eRaider account. Do not request a single account for a group of people.

TTU business partner

Some individuals that have a long-term business relationship with Texas Tech University may need an eRaider account to gain access to the TTU networks or applications. To request a TTU business partner account, a TTU faculty or staff member should complete the request form.

Separate requests may be needed to request access to specific services that are not enabled by default for TTU business partner accounts.

TTU research partner

If you are a TTU faculty member engaged in a research project with a faculty member or employee of another institution, you may request an eRaider account for that individual. To request an account, a TTU faculty or staff member may complete the request form.

Separate requests may be needed to request access to specific services that are not enabled by default for TTU research partner accounts.

Outcome

Full-time staff at IT Help Central will review the request. The amount of time to evaluate the account request varies; therefore, it may take a few working days to process your request. Please plan accordingly.

Once the account is approved by TTU IT and is set up by the account holder, they may then by given appropriate access to TTU's computing systems and authenticate.
