How to: Request a delivery receipt on a message you send in Outlook on the web


When you send a message through your TechMail account in Outlook on the web, you may request a delivery receipt to confirm that the message reaches the recipient's mailbox.

1) In the window where you are composing your email message, click the horizontal ellipsis icon. Then, choose Show message options.

2) Check the box next to "Request a delivery receipt". Then, click OK.

3) Send the message as you normally would.


After a few moments (or hours or days, in some cases), you will receive information in a separate email message sent to you concerning delivery of your message. This information may come from the TechMail system (Microsoft 365 email) or from the servers of the recipient of your message.
