How to: Remove saved passwords from Safari


Instructions

  1. In your Mac's menu bar, click Safari. Then, choose Settings.

  2. Click the Passwords tab. Then, choose Open Passwords.

  3. Type the password for your user account and press return on your keyboard.

  4. Select the password that you would like to delete, on the top right-hand side, click Edit.

    TIP: You can use the search bar to narrow down the list to only websites containing a particular text string.

  5. Click Delete.

  6. Click Delete Password to confirm.

  7. To permanently delete the password manually, click Deleted.

  8. Click the password of your choosing. Then, click Delete.

    TIP: If you deleted your password by accident, you can recover it by check marking it and clicking Recover.

  9. Click Delete Password to confirm.

Outcome

Your saved password is removed from Safari.
