How to: Remove saved passwords from Google Chrome


Introduction

No one at Texas Tech University or from anywhere else should ask for your password.

From Google Chrome's Settings page, click Advanced > Passwords and forms > Manage passwords. Locate the websites you wish to remove your saved passwords from, click the More Options icon, and then click Remove.

Instructions

CAUTION: The TTU IT Division does not recommend saving passwords to unsecure workstations. If you are going to save your password to a browser, make sure the computer is secure.

1) In the top right-hand corner of the screen, click the More Options icon. Then, click Settings.

2) In the top left-hand corner of the screen, click the Main Menu icon.

3) Click the Advanced drop-down menu, and then click Passwords and forms.

4) Click Manage passwords.

5) Locate any websites you wish to remove saved passwords from under the "Saved Passwords" section. Click the More Options icon to the right of the website address.

6) Click Remove.

OUTCOME

You have successfully removed the desired saved passwords.
