CAUTION: Before following these steps, make sure of the following:

• You know the password for at least one local administrator account.
• You have a copy of your BitLocker recovery key saved somewhere other than this computer.

1) Open the Control Panel.

2) Click System and Security.

3) Click System.

4) Click Rename this PC (advanced).

NOTE: You will choose this option even though you do not need to rename the computer.

5) Under the Computer Name tab, click the Change button.

6) Choose the radio button next to Workgroup, type any name that you like, and click OK.

7) Make certain that you understand the warning. Then, click OK.

Your computer has been removed from its domain.
