Instructions
Some problems in Skype for Business on Windows can be corrected by building a new Skype for Business profile.
1) Close all programs on your computer, including Skype for Business.
NOTE: This includes right-clicking the Skype for Business icon in the bottom right corner of your screen (next to the clock) and choosing Exit.
2) Open File Explorer. You may do this in Windows 10 by right-clicking the Start button and choosing File Explorer from the pop-up menu.
2) In the address bar at the top, type %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync and press Enter.
TIP: Alternatively, if you know the location of your Windows profile you may browse there and then to \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync.
3) Locate the folder for your Skype for Business profile. It should begin with sip_ followed by your TechMail address. Right-click this folder and choose Rename.
4) Give the folder any alternate name you wish and then press Enter. An easy way to rename it is by adding .old to the end of the folder name since this will become the location of your old profile and a new one will be created later.
5) Restart your computer.
6) Sign in to your computer and open Skype for Business. A new profile folder will be built automatically in the location above.
Outcome
You have a new Skype for Business profile.
