How to: Open the Terminal app on your Mac

Jump to: B: Open Terminal using Finder

A: Open Terminal using Spotlight search

Open a Spotlight search (command+space bar) and type Terminal. Then, click Terminal.

B: Using Finder

  1. Open Finder.

  2. In the left-hand pane, click Applications. Then, open the Utilities folder.

  3. Double-click Terminal to open the app.

Outcome

You can execute commands in the Terminal.
