How to: Open the "Run" dialog box in Windows


Instructions

Method A: Keyboard shortcut

If you have a Windows key on your keyboard, press the Windows key Windows logo +R simultaneously.

Method B: Context menu for the Start button

Right-click your Start button. In the list of options that appears, click Run.

  1. Click your Start button.

  2. In the search field, type run, but do not press Enter. In the list of search results, click Run.
