How to: Manage the pop-up blocker settings in Google Chrome


Instructions

  1. In the top right-hand corner, click the menu icon (vertical ellipsis). Then, click Settings.

  2. In the left hand menu, click Privacy and security.

  3. Click Site settings.

  4. Click Pop-ups and redirects.

  5. Choose whether to prevent or allow websites to send pop-ups and redirects by clicking one of the radio buttons.

  6. You can choose to always prevent or allow specific websites to create pop-ups, regardless of your main pop-ups setting, by clicking the Add button next to the "Not allowed to send pop-ups or use redirects" or "Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects" lists.

    1. Type the address of the website that you would like to always block or allow. Then, click Add.

    2. Once you have added a website to the "Block" or "Allow" list, you may click the menu icon to open its status menu.

    3. In the status menu, click Remove to remove the website from the exceptions list. Click Edit to change the address of the website. Click Block or Add to move the website to the opposite list.

Outcome

Websites will display pop-ups depending on the preferences that you set.
