How to: Locate your PlayStation 2's hardware address


Load the "Network Adapter Startup Disc". Choose ISP Setup. If you agree to the license agreement, choose Agree. Choose Local Area Network (LAN) > Automatic Configuration > Advanced. Choose the "Automatic" option. The hardware address will be listed near the bottom.


To find your PlayStation 2's hardware address, please follow the steps below.

1) Turn on the PlayStation 2 and load the "Network Adapter Startup Disc".

2) Once it has loaded, choose ISP Setup and press X on the controller.

3) If you agree to the terms, choose Agree and press X.

4) Choose Local Area Network (LAN) and press X.

5) Choose Automatic Configuration and press X.

6) At the "Connection Test" screen, choose Advanced and press X.

7) At the "Advanced Broadband Settings" screen, make sure "Automatic" is chosen. Your device's hardware address will be located at the bottom of the screen next to "MAC address".

  • 00:04:1F
  • 00:13:15
  • 00:15:C1
