How to: Install and configure Skype for Business on Android


Introduction

Download and install Skype for Business from the Google Play Store. When prompted to sign in to Skype for Business, use your TechMail address as the username and your eRaider password as the password.

Instructions

CAUTION: Before uninstalling or removing the app from your device, you need to sign out of the Skype for Business app. Otherwise, simultaneous ring may remain active for 15 days.

1) Open the Play Store app.

2) Type Skype for Business into the search field. When the search results appear, tap Skype for Business for Android.

3) Tap Install.

4) Once the installation is complete, tap Open.

5) Tap the right-pointing arrow.

6) You will be asked to approve or deny permissions for this app.

NOTE: If you choose to deny any of these permissions, the app may not work properly.

7) Review the terms of use. If you agree with the terms, tap ACCEPT.

8) Tap the right-pointing arrow.

9) Type your TechMail address and your eRaider password. Then, tap the right-pointing arrow.

10) Type the phone number for your mobile device. Then, tap the right-pointing arrow.

11) By swiping from right to left, review the setup tips. On the last page, tap the right-pointing arrow.

OUTCOME

You will be signed in to TTU Unified Communications on your Android device. You can send and receive instant messages, place and receive voice or video calls, change your presence, participate in online meetings, search the TTU directory, and more.

TIP: You may wish to tap the prompt at the top of the window to sign in to Exchange. Exchange is the TTU email system (TechMail), and this will allow integration between TechMail and Skype for Business on your Android device.
