How to: Forward Google Voice text messages to an email address

At this time, Google Voice can only forward text messages to the primary Gmail address associated with the Google Account. To enable this feature, follow the steps below.

Instructions

  1. In the top left-hand corner of your screen, click the menu button (hamburger icon).

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Messages.

  4. Toggle the "Forward messages to email" option to its "on" state.

Outcome

Any text messages sent to your Google Voice number will be forwarded to your Gmail address.
