How to: Enable or disable Wi-Fi on your iPhone or iPad


Introduction

There are three ways to enable/disable Wi-Fi on your iPhone or iPad:

  • Ask Siri to enable or disable Wi-Fi.
  • Open Control Center and tap the Wi-Fi icon.
  • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and slide the switch.

Instructions

There are three ways to enable or disable Wi-Fi on your iPhone or iPad. You may choose the method that you prefer.

Jump to:

A: Use Siri

Tell Siri to enable Wi-Fi by saying something such as, "Turn on Wi-Fi," or "Enable Wi-Fi."

Alternatively, you can tell Siri to disable Wi-Fi with voice commands such as "Turn off Wi-Fi," or "Disable Wi-Fi."

B: Use Control Center

B1) Open Control Center.

B2) In the top left-hand corner, tap the Wi-Fi icon to enable or disable Wi-Fi.

C: Use the Settings app

C1) Open the Settings app.

C2) Tap Wi-Fi.

C3) Next to "Wi-Fi," slide the switch to the right to enable Wi-Fi.

Alternatively, if Wi-Fi was already on, you may slide the switch to the left to disable it.
