How to: Enable or disable Wi-Fi in Android


Introduction

There are two ways to enable or disable Wi-Fi on Android devices. You may choose the method you prefer.

Instructions

NOTE: Android is highly customizable and may look different depending on your manufacturer. The steps below may vary for different devices.

Jump to Method B: Use the Settings app

Method A: Use Quick Settings

A1) Swipe down from the top edge of the screen.

A2) Tap the Internet button.

A3) Next to "Wi-Fi", slide the switch to the right to enable Wi-Fi.

If Wi-Fi was already on, you may slide the switch to the left to disable it.

Method B: Use the Settings app

B1) Swipe up from the bottom of your home screen to show all apps.

B2) Open the Settings application.

B3) Tap Network & internet.

B4) Tap Internet.

B5) Next to "Wi-Fi", slide the switch to the right to enable Wi-Fi.

If Wi-Fi was already on, you may slide the switch to the left to disable it.

OUTCOME

Depending on the setting you chose, Wi-Fi is either enabled or disabled on your Android device.
