How to: Enable or disable mouse pointer magnification on your Mac


Introduction

Open System Preferences and click Accessibility. In the left-hand pane, click Display. Under the Cursor or Pointer tab, set your desired preference by checking or unchecking the box next to "Shake mouse pointer to locate".

Instructions

1) Open System Preferences.

2) Click Accessibility.

3) In the left-hand pane, click Display.

4) Under the Cursor or Pointer tab, check the box labeled "Shake mouse pointer to locate" to enable the feature. Uncheck the box to disable it.

OUTCOME

Feature enabled

If you need to locate your mouse pointer, you can vigorously shake your mouse or move your finger quickly on your trackpad.

Feature disabled

Your mouse pointer will not get larger if you accidentally move the mouse pointer vigorously.
