How to: Enable or disable automatic sign-in for eRaider sites on domain authenticated computers

Instructions

When you are signed in to a domain-authenticated computer (i.e., you sign in using your eRaider account when your computer starts up), some browsers will not prompt you for credentials on eRaider sites. The following browsers will automatically signed you in to many eRaider websites:

  • Chrome (Windows)
  • Edge (Windows)
  • Safari (macOS)

The information presented below will help you with enabling or disabling this feature to suit your needs.

Edge (Windows)

To enable automatic sign-in for Edge in Windows, add the site fs.ttu.edu or *.ttu.edu to the "Local Intranet" security zone. To disable this, remove the site fs.ttu.edu or *.ttu.edu from the "Local Intranet" security zone.

Chrome (Windows)

To enable automatic sign-in for Chrome in Windows, add the site fs.ttu.edu or *.ttu.edu to the "Local Intranet" security zone. To disable this, remove the site fs.ttu.edu or *.ttu.edu from the "Local Intranet" security zone.

This may require you to clear browsing data and restart Chrome for the changes to take effect.

Firefox

This is not supported by the TTU IT Division, but Firefox can be made to automatically sign in to eRaider sites by using a setting in about:config.

Safari (macOS)

Safari will automatically sign you in to eRaider sites when you are signed in to a domain-authenticated Mac. There is currently no way to disable the automatic sign-in.
