TechMail distribution lists can be configured such that incoming messages will be reviewed by a moderator before they're delivered to the group. The individuals designated as moderators by the list administrator(s) can approve or reject incoming messages. Follow the instructions below to enable moderation for a distribution list for which you are an owner.

1) Contact IT Help Central with the following details:

• The display name of the distribution list
• The email address of the distribution list
• Specify that the distribution list is already enabled for message approval (moderation), and that you wish to modify the list of people who can bypass moderation without approval
• The TechMail addresses of those to which you wish to grant rights to bypass message moderation (their messages sent to the distribution list would require no approval)

2) IT Help Central will assign an issue in your name to email administrators with the details of your request.

OUTCOME

If approved, the distribution list changes will take effect and the list of individuals you provided will now be able to send email messages to the list without being moderated.
