A stub record is a pointer to another location. A stub record usually includes a description (or metadata) about a file that's too large to upload along with a link to the dataset's location or instructions for how to access the dataset.

1) Create the content as you normally would. For more information, see How to: Publish content to Texas Data Repository.

2) In the Description field, add the hyperlink or location of the file to the Text box along with a description of the stub record.

Outcome

The stub record will be created in the dataset.
