How to: Connect to TTUCRnet Wi-Fi or TTUCRfaculty Wi-Fi using Android


In the Settings app, tap Connections > Wi-Fi > pick appropriate. Ensure that "EAP method" is set to PEAP, "Phase 2 authentication" is set to MSCHAPV2, "Identity" is using your eRaider username, and "Password" is your TTU Costa Rica wireless password (different than eRaider). Then, tap CONNECT.


NOTE: Android is highly customizable and may look different depending on your manufacturer. The steps below may vary for different devices.

1) Open the Settings app.

2) Tap Connections.

3) Tap Wi-Fi.

4) Tap the Costa Rica wireless network to which you wish to connect.

  • TTUCRfaculty: for faculty and staff
  • TTUCRnet: for students

5) Configure the following settings. Then, tap CONNECT.

  • EAP method: PEAP
  • Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
  • Identity: your TechMail address
  • Password: your TTU Costa Rica wireless password (This is different from your eRaider password.)
    • NOTE: If this is your first time connecting, use the password provided to you by Costa Rica staff. You will change the password after your first successful connection.

NOTE: For "CA certificate," you may need to choose an option such as "Use system certificates" to allow connection to TTU wireless networks. If you are required to enter a domain, type into the "Domain" section. If "Use system certificates" is not available, you will need to use "Don't Validate."
