A1) Control-click (secondary click) on the file(s) that you wish to compress.

A2) Click Compress.

Right-click on the file(s) or folder(s) that you wish to compress and choose Compress to ZIP file.

C: Windows 10

C1) Right-click on the file(s) or folder(s) that you wish to compress.

C2) Point to Send to and choose Compressed (zipped) folder.

Outcome

You have successfully compressed the selected file(s) or folder(s) into a .zip file. The .zip file will appear in the same place as the items that you selected to compress.
