How to: Clear private data and passwords in Microsoft Edge

TIP: You can use the shortcut keys CTRL + Shift + Delete to clear private data in Microsoft Edge, then continue to step 3 for further information.

  1. In the top right-hand corner, click the menu icon.

    Three vertical dots are highlighted to be clicked

  2. Click History. Then click Clear browsing data.

    A menu opens and History is clicked, this brings a second menu in which Clear browsing data is highlighted to be clicked

  3. Review the given options and time range and change them accordingly. Click Clear.

    NOTE: It is recommended that at a minimum, you check the following items:

    • Browsing history
    • Cookies and other site data
    • Cached images and files
    • Passwords


    Clear Browsing Data opens and a time range is selected and all four boxes are ticked and clear now is highlighted to be clicked

Outcome

Your browsers private data will be cleared out.
