How to: Add received spam to the Blocked Senders List in Microsoft Outlook for Windows

Introduction

Right-click on the junk email message that you received. Point to Junk and choose Block Sender.

Instructions

CAUTION: The following steps are not likely to prevent future junk email, as the sender's address on spam is usually spoofed. In some cases, these steps may even be ill advised, such as when the spoofed sender's address is an address that sometimes sends you legitimate email; if you block it, you will also be blocking future legitimate messages from that same address.

1) Right-click on the junk email message that you received. Point to Junk and choose Block Sender.

TIP: Check the box next to Don't show this message again if you wish to not see this pop-up every time you add a sender to the Blocked Senders List.
