How to: Add an additional mailbox to your profile in Outlook for Windows

NOTE: The following steps will help you add an additional mailbox to your existing Outlook profile. This can include an additional functional mailbox. You will not be able to send emails or meeting requests from the additional mailbox, configure calendar sharing, or use some other TechMail features. If you need to have these features in the additional mailbox, you should simply add the mailbox as a separate account.

1) In Outlook, click the File tab.

2) Under the "Info" tab, click Account Settings > Account Settings.

3) Choose your email account, then click Change.

4) Click More Settings.

5) Click the Advanced tab. Then, click Add.

6) Enter the alias or the display name of the additional mailbox. Then, click OK.

EXAMPLE: If the display name in the GAL is Doe, John, type that into the box. Alternatively, if the email address of the mailbox is john.doe@ttu.edu, type john.doe into the box.

NOTE: If there are multiple results found for an individual, choose the appropriate alias and click OK.

7) Click OK.

8) Click Next.

OUTCOME

You can access the additional mailbox in Outlook.
