1) Make sure that the printer is accessible over the network.

2) Contact IT Help Central and request the printer be added to the TOSM printer server. Provide the following information:

• Printer IP address
• Printer driver that you wish to install
• Who will administer the print queue - This can be eRaider username(s) or a defined Active Directory group.
• Who will be able to access this print queue - This can be eRaider username(s) or a defined Active Directory group.
• Name of the printer in this format: OUname_Manufacturer_Model (e.g., chem_hp_2840)
• Building and room where the printer will be located (e.g., Drane Hall 166)

3) An issue in your name will be assigned to the system administrators to add the printer to the printer server.

OUTCOME

The printer will be set up on the Texas Tech University print server located on print.tosm.ttu.edu.
