How to: Activate your Texas Tech email account


Instructions

  1. Sign in to eRaider Account Manager.

  2. Locate the "Email Services" section. Next to the account that you wish to create, click the Activate button.

    EXAMPLE: Clicking "Activate" next to "TechMail" will activate your @ttu.edu account.

Outcome

For ttu.edu accounts, your TechMail account will be available within one hour. After that time, you may access your TechMail account.

For ttuhsc.edu or ttep.edu accounts, your account will be available after giving your institution's systems enough time to update. Contact your institution's IT service desk regarding any questions about your institution's services, such as email.

NOTE: Your alias (the portion before @ symbol) must be the same at all Texas Tech institutions managed by eRaider (TTU, TTUHSC, and TTEP). If your eRaider account already had an email address for one of these institutions, then the alias for your new email mailbox is automatically the same as your existing alias. (For example, if you had john.a.doe@ttu.edu and you activated TTEP email, then your TTEP email address is automatically john.a.doe@ttep.edu.) You can change your alias, but such changes affect all your email accounts for TTU, TTUHSC, and TTEP.
